SO im looking for a reputable body shop that isnt gonna cut my balls off price wise, the car is a honda prelude and here are some pics of the damage, ive gotten quotes for about 700-1000$, all the work is on the rear quarter panel, its gonna need a respray most likely [quarter panel], anyway, check out the damage and let me know of any shops that could do it for a good deal. Thanks

Try FineArt Auto Collision in Port Moody. (778 216 0951 Unit C - 3060 Spring Street, PoMo)

I had my RSX fixed there when someone hit it.

His prices seem to be pretty good and as is his work.

Not sure if he will be able to give you a good deal on top of his usual rate, but if you get a quote it may be worth telling him Branden with the silver RSX referred you.

Good luck.

If it is silver, don't cheap out and go for cash jobs.. because there is a good probability that the silver won't match the first time, even if blended properly.

yeah the color is pretty specific ( nordic Mist ) not really a silver, has some purple in it at certain angles, its cool

For a good color match you will need to blend the left door - I also see a small chip on the edge of the door - this would warrent the door for full refinish time as opposed to blend refinish

a good rule of thumb is; good bodywork isn't cheap... and cheap bodywork isn't good.

Why not call ICBC and attempt to make a claim? See what will happen to your rates if you do process a claim.

how would i make a claim? what would i say? the dent was there before i bought the car, along with the deep scratches, and the door is being replaced with one from a salvage yard

how was his reply useless? he was trying to help u out. he didnt know it was an old claim. I don't think there is a time limit on a claim. claim that shit thats why you pay for insurance.

^ I've never been in a situation where a claim would have been beneficial.

Hope one when it really counts that changes :(

I have used Absolute Auto body in Coquitlam time and time again. Their colour matching is simply the best I have ever seen! They did the side of my old titanium silver Civic, repaired the front end of my silver 350Z, resprayed the side of my gunmetal TSX and recently repaired my co-worker's silver Civic. The body work and colour matching results were simply outstanding and the pricing was reasonable as well.

I never recommend anybody else. :)
