| ICBC History report
Is this considered bad? please explain. I would like to purchase the vehicle, positives outweigh the potential negative below:
car:
1997 gti vr6
190,000km
all major engine maintenance done with receipts for everything. The latest repair was just a car driving up against the gti and scratching the paint from right front door to rear right bumper. the pictures he showed me didnt even look that bad but the repair cost over $2,000. The car looks clean and the lines look straight. Would this report make you steer clear or am i over reacting?

Those are fairly minor claims. Try to use that report to leverage a better deal.

Its hard to find a vr6 that has the chains, clutch done. I called the shop to verify that the work was done and it was. Its black with black leather. it comes lowerd on a cup kit. I dont think Im going to find a better deal on craigslist or buy sell right now. Ive been looking for a mk3 gti vr6 black for a while now and have been getting nothing but over priced crap.

Agreed. Seems like the owner made a claim on practically everything during the first 5 years of the vehicle and afterwards, the claims tend to be more spread out.

There are no repairs over $2500, indicating that there's never been any serious damage.
The theft thing is not too serious it says "theft FROM vehicle"... if it had been stolen and recovered, it would say "VEHICLE STOLEN" I believe.
I'd suggest you get it independently inspected. If it passes, go for it.
