How do you feel when people (especially car enthusiasts) look or stare at your car in a complimentary way, where they think your car is nice?

If you're driving a stock base car, probably not many people will look (except the exotics and nicer cars). I recently added some wheels to my car and I noticed more people look at my car and I thought it was cool.
Even I always glance at my car as well.

hard to tell what they think... I often stare at peopels cars if they are nice, or if they are horrid. I'm sure I have the same expression.

I get people talking to me about my car alllll the time. Lots of thumbs up and about as many head shakes. Older people seem really interested in it... I guess it's like a space ship to them..

One thing I get a lot is... "Wow that's a great looking car.... What is it?" lol.

Fast cars don't really take me seriously then I give em a nice boost pull and then they take me too seriously and never want to play haha.

I don't get many looks since I have a stock-looking car (for the moment), but at the RS Spring Meet I had a couple of older people telling me a couple stories of how they used to have a Cressida years ago.

When I see a nice or rice car, I take a good look. I appreciate a nice-looking ride and awesome exhaust notes, and laugh hard at ricer flybys and spinner hubcaps, etc.

i had a group of people at work crowd around my car. I took it out after sitting in the garage for 7 months to rebuild the top end of the engine. The car was running like crap, and was filthy. I just went to spray it down with a pressure washer and got tons of looks (i suppose good). Usually i think its cool when people look at my car in a good way, that day i felt that my car wasnt clean, running properly, or complete so i felt kind of embarrassed

The only time people look at my car are fellow G35 owners

almost 100% of the time, if the G35 is stock, they feel a need to pass me or go faster than me. sorta 50/50 when it comes to G35's with a few mods.

I get looks from anyone. Especially police and ricers.
Cops usually follow me for 3-4 blocks then pass me. Figure I'm not an idiot looking for a race.
Ricers tail me and honk me, then pull up beside and floor it.

Walking up to my car, in say, a busy parking lot, I get the "typical asian male" kind of stare. It's a yellow Honda, what can I say?

I gotta admit, my car catches a lot of attention, especially with my rice mods.
Here are a few example encounters:

-A kid actually managed to hit his head on my wing when walking past my car in a parking lot.
-When I was walking towards my car a couple of days ago, I saw a fucking pigeon using my wing as a park bench and just resting there.
-Once, when I was shifting, my BOV sound scared this lil kid riding his lil bicycle on the sidewalk a few meters ahead and he fell.

Other than that, I've seen all types of people looking at my car. I'm ok with people checking it out, but if they start touching shit I'll get a bit paranoid.

Well that's like when I'm at a restaurant and can see my car out the window. If somebody walks by, I keep watching them until they walk away.

It's hard to go a day when driving the Mustang without seeing smiles, thumbs-ups, fist pumps, people screaming "NICE CAR", photos being taken, or people going out of their way to check out the car. I'm pretty used to it, and give them a nod and a smile back.

There's always a few people that will give you the "LIGHT 'EM UP" and "BURNOUT" followed by the stupid rolling hand gesture. Those are the ones I ignore.

The Mazda gets no looks. I like it that way actually, bit of a sleeper.

i have a black bugeye wrx with bbs lm reps......it sdits in my garage most of the time cause it needs a new 3rd gear but when i pull it out to wash or to transport my neighbor always asks me if i bought a new car.....gd damn he's seen it 100 times at least but to him its always different..........yet he still says he loves it....i get a lot of compliments on the bbs reps especially from vw owners....then they ask if i want to sell them, so i say no.

but i dont mind having ppl look at the car...i didnt do any of the mods but hey it still feels nice to be noticed a little i guess.

I've even caught a few people walking by and taking pics when its parked outside my house. But when I see a riced out car its almost impossible NOT to stare..

I love my car even thought its pretty much all stock and slow a shit(Hell its loss to a kia rios).. Its great for baiting.. I do lots of HWY driving and theres always someone who doesnt want to go as slow as a corolla so they always pass me.. No problem I will follow you until the next person comes flying by and ill go and chase them.. I always keep my distance though and it always takes awhile for the guy infront to find out i'm not trying to race him but i'm using him for bait.. since my car has aftermarket replacement factory badges and a aftermarket grill etc...people come up to me and ask "what kind of car is that!!!???!?!?!?" and i say "sonata... hyundai..." and they say "oh..." .............:D

My exhaust always grabs attention....it's supposed to be one of the quietest but is still pretty loud. I see people turn there head 45degrees then stop lookin after that. Sometimes I get stared down almost when I'm at a intersection or turning right. But once vtec kicks in everybody's heads are turnin' yo!!

I get a pretty decent amount of attention in mine, but I think that's due to my exhaust (the car has a stock exterior, but a very loud exhaust). I'm pretty indifferent about the attention it gets, and if they talk to me I'm always polite and courteous back; to me a car is always just a car.

one time there was a red R35 parked in the parking lot while i was waiting for the gf to get off class and within the 15 mins or so, at least 5 people walked by, stopped, and took a pic of the car.
this one guy even put down his briefcase to take pictures of it in 3 different angles while having a smoke in the other hand.
i even took pics of him taking the pics just so i could post it up in the spotted thread, but never got around to it :(

btw, the GTR looked pretty stock except for the added rice LED bars that you see everywhere

Ever since I put the wastegate dump out the hood people go real close in parking lots to look. I never park where I can't see the car and I have seen a lot of people walking by stop, look at dump, walk around side and look in vent wondering WTF they are looking at. Not understand and then continue on lol.

Had some people last night take rolling pics of me as I was cruising down the road. lol wonder if it was for the hall of shame thread haha.

I dont mind people looking, my neighbour has had 6th gen accords since 1999, he totalled 3 and he always stops and talks to me about my car. Kids at school always look at my car but thats probably because they drive waves/aveos/sunfires/cavailers.

However this one time at home depot i caught a guy sitting/resting( he was standing but his ass was resting on my hood) on my hood while talking to his buddy, so i went up and said can you please get off my car and he gave me this " im a badass" look and he said " sorry bud" like im a fuckin 2 year old and then he got into his truck and left.

I had to give some asian tourists (couldn't tell their exact ethnicity) shit here in Victoria when I saw them taking pictures of my car while they were taking turns leaning/sitting on it. They just gave me a stunned look.

I love when I catch people looking at my car. I get stopped in parking lots and am asked all the time where I got the hood and bumper, only to assure them she is all stock and turbo, 4wd, RHD. People are shocked when I tell them she's a '92. I've caught people snapping pics of her a few times.
I always park so I can see it from restaurants, in a corner spot, or backed in to look good.
I'm kind of obsessive. I normally wash/wax at least once a week in the summer, but she's off the road for a while :(
