2010 PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE

- Flames open up against Vancouver on Tuesday, September 21st -



Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced their 2010 pre-season schedule today which starts on Tuesday, September 21st against the Vancouver Canucks with home-and-home games with split squads on the same day.



The Flames will face the New York Islanders on Wednesday, September 29th in Saskatoon at the Credit Union Centre for the second consecutive year.



The Flames will play a total of seven pre-season games (4 x home / 3 x away) against the Edmonton Oilers (2), Vancouver Canucks (2), New York Islanders (1), Phoenix Coyotes (1) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (1).

Real hockey fans appreciate other hockey fans regardless of who their favourite team is. Unfortunately, some people are only hockey fans not because of the sport, but because of hometown pride. I doubt you'd put a lot of weight on these type of people's opinions no?

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today that prior to the 2010 Flames main training camp, the club will participate in a prospects tournament hosted by the Vancouver Canucks and the city of Penticton from September 12th -16th.

The tournament is an eight-game round-robin format, featuring prospects from the Flames, Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks.

it seems like the home and home same day games are totally different from the prospects tourney

What did you honestly expect when you created a Flames Thread in a Vancouver centric forum? For you to expect the majority of people to come in with open arms would be laughable

You're going to get failed regardless of whether or not you have your own thread it seems. Its all in good fun though. Its almost as if you walked in the middle of downtown wearing a big searing red jersey. Im sure the reception you get here is much more welcoming than the latter. Expect to be jousted:)

I have no problem with a flames thread, to be honest. I do have a problem with people abusing the fail button, as do most of the moderator team. People have been cautioned numerous times against going religiously stupid with hitting the fail button.

My roommate during the course of the school year is from Lethbridge, and is a diehard Flames fan. I'm a Canucks fan. Do we get along? Just fine. He's probably the best roommate I've ever had. Hell, Girl and I even sent him and Saucywoman to the last regular season game this year, which saw the Canucks thrash the Flames with 7 goals. Did they have fun? Definitely! Did I have any problem with the Flames? Nope! CAUSE THEY LOST! :lol

Consider it a final caution to people abusing the fail button before measures are taken.
