Well, people have been throwing rocks and pennies in the water, clogging her larynx (voicebox) which caused inflammation and breathing difficulties for the beluga calf.

Nala eventually died on Monday, June 21, 2010

Not really telling the fully story there. They aren't say that human's played a role in this exclusively. Plus she had a pocket under her larynx which they don't yet know how it occurred.
