Spec-wise, it seems this new gen will be based on the Teana chassis (Maxima) rather then the Skyline chassis (G37)
last gen was awesome cuz you can put in all the aftermarket engine parts from the Z33 and G35,all superchargers, headers, ecu all works with the VQ35 in the old elgrand, even the NISMO Z33 LSD works with the old Elgrand

i don't know if a lusury minivan would sell well in NA. most minivans are own by soccer mom and people would need it to haul stuff for work here. a luxury minivan needs to be babied and a car full of kids would just ruin all the nice interior. Not the mention it would be cheap.

In asian these pimp vans are use alot as company cars and what not to move adults who doesn't draw and drool all over the interior of the cars.

on the other hand because these pimp minivans are available in asian, they are actually cars that ppl would want and possiblity even envy. I don't think anybody in NA look at minivans that way, its more of a necessity
