jsut wondering whats the fastest way to do the N test without an appointment. i just checked online and the next available one is in september.

walk ins might have to wait for like eight hours. does calling in work asking if someone has cancelled their appointments?

your best bet would be to just show up when they open and wait for canceled appointments...

Canceled appointments go to the people waiting in line. I don't think calling would help.
If you really want it, you need to pick a day and go wait at the DMV.

alot of N tests get cancelled surprisingly, so best bet is to call them and check up with them often

You should make an appointment for september just in case you have no luck waiting lol

you will have to spend some time on the website. it does update when people cancel appointments, and you have to act fast and snag it. Also try other locations. I was not able to do a test for a long time in north vancouver, so i checked the burnaby location and it was 3 months earlier. Things like that. Good luck.

what i did was check EVERY day.

originally i was booked for February (which i booked in early December)
then i check every freaking day and got an appointment on December 28th.

Don't confine yourself to just one or two locations. If you really want to get your test done earlier, prepare to spend an extra few dollars and go to a slower city or town. Langley had something like a two month wait, so I checked and found a bunch of openings in Chilliwack the following week.

What's the N test consist of? I received my license before graduated licensing was introduced, so I'm just curious...

Just go in right when it opens and get on the waiting list. Thats what I did, had to wait about 3 hours but in the end you should be leaving with a license. Well unless you can't drive lol

^ or just check online everyday, my buddy failed it and he checked everyday and found one exactly 2 weeks from the first time he took it.

If you had a driving instructor he can get earlier test times as well

Don't they allow you to go in at 8am and wait to see if there are any cancellations? I seem to remember them saying to go in very early on a Friday...

I'm just curious, but how do instructors get an earlier time? They don't work for ICBC. My instructor told me to book it myself, because it is the same as him doing it.

just fucking pick up the phone and stop being lazy. basically all of the cancelled appts never make it ot the online booking because SMART people pick the phone up and call.

some legit schools (as in not harpreeets super cool driving school) book off blocks on a monthly basis for their students. If you went to a small driving school they won't have this privilege.

do you guys know if going over 30 in playground zone during the test is a auto fail or pt deduction?

Automatic fail as far as I know. Unless your examiner isn't paying attention

It depends on the examiner. I went 50 in the school zone and still passed.

falcon

I did as well. The only reason she let me pass is because she knows the sign is hidden and hard to see, and I live in Langley and took the test in N Van, a city I don't know at all.

But... I didn't get ANY other points on the test. If I did I'm sure she would have failed me.

I took my test in Langley, and got the route with a lot of playground zones. I didn't know the area, but the examiner took it easy on me when I slowed down realizing I entered one at 50 km/h.
