Wad up everyone,
Just wondering what the average starting wage is at a Steve Nash Sports Club. Any suggestions in working as a fitness trainer anywhere else other than starting my own business? Thanks.

you should start your own, I know a guy who does it freelancing, going to whatever gym he needs to etc

Starting the wages suck... Once you get more clients you might make a little more. The personal trainers that make decent money typically work out of studios... not gyms..

This. Doesn't take much to become a 'personal trainer'. If people feel tired and sore, do some work on a bosu ball, they are happy.
For Steve nash, I believe it is $14 something.

yea steve nash charges somthing like 35 but the trainer only gets like half, knew 2 ppl who were trainers there
start as a trainer at a big gym, build a clientele, then just drag your clients over to a gym where you pay a small fee to train people there, thats what all the trainers i ever knew do pretty much

I think the YMCA does your training and gets you certified as a personal trainer or whatever if you volunteer a certain amount there. plus they just hand you clientele. do that for abit in the evenings then quit there and start your own thing.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll do the YMCA route, since I don't want to really pay for BCRPA courses ( I pay enough for school already ).
