just like to let you guys know.
Rogers video plus is having a blow out on PSP.
this is nation wide and also on the flyer. the online flyer is really outdated or else i would of posted a link.
prices for new ::::
PSP Slim Core = $74
PSP Slim Package = $99 (rockband, hanna montanna, Gran turismo is what i saw and came with additional 4gig of memory)
PSP GO = $125 (black/ white)
all used and new PSP games are also 50% off. picked up stuff like loccorocco 2 for 4, tomb raider for 7, silent hill for 4, tekkan 6 for 8.
i already visited all the rogers store from victoria -> nanimo and have the same deal.
and if you are on the island, the duncan rogers is closing this week and look forward to wicked sales.
there was a store that closed here couple weeks ago which featured sales like:
50% off all new PS3, xbox. wii, psp, ds, bluray and dvds games and accessories.
sed dvds were buy 3 for 10
used games(wii,ps3,xbox360) 2 for 25. etc.
used (psp,ds,ps2) were 3 for $20
i spent like $300 bucks that week

i think they should lower their movie rates
renting a movie (DVD) for $4.50-5 dollar is pretty retarded
when buying one costs wat? 12-15 dollar?

Yeah both Blockbuster and Roger's Video are in terrible shape. Blockbuster is on the verge of bankruptcy protection.

I also rent from a locally owned video place, much cheaper than rogers.

If u were to tell a regular consumer 4 yrs ago that digital distribution is the way to go, they would jus laugh at u.
I mean nothing beats actually owning a physical product.
But wit Netflix, Video on Demand, HD movie channels, PsN and Xbl, Steam its too convenient for consumer nowadays content delivered without leaving home. Plus its cheaper for studios, and game publishers to distribute their content, saves them from mass producing products. Their profits is bigger too.
Valve's Steam didn't completely take off until 2008, and its been around since 2003.

Not too mention, they give you what, 2 days to watch a movie? My schedule is so hectic and busy, it doesn't warrant making two trips. One to rent, and one to return. Video on Demand and other services make more sense as does DL.
However, I will buy music CD's if I support the band ( I don't open them and listen to my DL's though).
And are the PSP's new or pre owned? Might pick one up for my nephew

Rogers plus == Roger's video? Or does this only apply to Roger's Video
its the same.. 'plus' is usually where they have a larger game section

The nearest one to my place (Rogers Plus - 5603 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC) is closing down next week. Bought a couple of games for 12.50 a pop All new games are 50% off, while the used games are 2 for $25.
Renting video games for 10 dollars a week is a bargain considering some games can be finished within a week. It's a shame the branch nearest to my place is closing down.
But I agree with the whole movie rentals being rip-offs (except maybe for brand new released blu-rays). I just download my shit.

wheres the flyers
at the store.
as i mentioned in post one, their online flyer is not up to-date
^ I think futureshop / bestbuy wouldn't do price match because most, if not all, rogers plus are out of stock now for the PSP.
