f you're using the internet...thats the only thing you need to get urself onto abs excercise.
Ab equipment is not meant for all body types...hence why u hurt yourself. However you'll easily find 50 different ab excercise, and probably 30 of them will suit your body type.

If your back hurts after ab exercises, you're definitely doing it wrong, try doing crunches on a flat surface or on an incline bench. If lying down, keep knees bent, soles of feet flat on the ground, and try to pull your face up to the ceiling using your core. Do 3-4 sets of those, see how you feel

ever wonder why people flick your forehead so much?
the ab wheel is a very good tool for your core. if you hurt yourself using it, you most likely did at least one of the following:
- going further out then your core muscles could handle
- your form was incorrect
- you did the exercise too fast
the ab roller or whatever its called (first pic) is OK for beginners, but most people don't require it. do some crunches at slow-medium speed and make sure your head and neck stays in a neutral position throughout the whole movement.

maybe try some other ab exercises, there are tons! the ones i like doing and gives a good burn and doesnt stress the back:
- hanging leg raises
- lying leg raises (is this what its called? lie on a bench, raise you legs up till it points the ceiling)

if it killed your back then try wearing a belt when you do them.. thatll probably eliminate the injuries unless you really really rounded your back
