Its saddening to see how far Honda's strayed from its roots in the past 20 years.

^ a lot of people said $100k + car and not even 300hp, whatta jip! (don't know what the original 91 NSX retailed for, but I know the 2002's when they first came out were over $100k)
but those were fairly ignorant people only concerned with HP, a stock NSX could keep up to a Murcielago on a track like Tsukuba, the evidence is on youtube for doubters.
my opinion, yea it would have been nice to have closer to 400hp, but it's the whole package with this car is what makes it awesome, lightweight, superb handling, mid engine setup, and looks like nothing else on the road and exclusive. I'm sure there's a bunch of other positives but those are my main ones

12.8 seconds 1/4 mile

IIRC, 91 NSX's were $80K new. I remember going into Burrard Acura and sitting in a 95 NSX-T that was in their showroom. That car was $95K.
A good condition 91 NSX is still going to cost you upwards of $40K.
Some of the cheaper ones are really beat up.

^ those are one off jobs, NSX never came in convertibles, only targas models for those who want to feel the open air. NSX is not one of those car that works as a convertible I think.

there is stock black NSX often spotted on barnet highway
looks sooo much like a regular car because it is stock , dusty and dirty , dull black paint..
to the untrained eye it could be just the same as a mazda MX3 for all they know..
to me it is still a sight to see though..
Reading this post made me go back and check out past issues of modified where the did tech articles on the nsx. Its such a beautiful car!!! I want one!

I had a supra and sold to buy nsx. Supra has nothing over nsx besides those twins. NSX is so much more refined like an exotic supercar.

I worked at an Acura dealership a couple of years ago and we serviced many NSX's. They are a site of beauty and the NSX was tested by the late Aryton Senna, which to me, he was the F1 god. There is a lot of history behind the NSX. I remember reading a long time ago a road & track magazine when the NSX finally came into production and since then i wanted one.
Right now i have a modded 93 MR2 turbo and absolutely love the handling, mid engine lay out, etc. so i see an NSX in my future...
Whoever wants a nsx after this post should also look into this. looks pretty mint to me.

Not only tested, but he had a major hand in the development of the car.

Its saddening to see how far Honda's strayed from its roots in the past 20 years.
That's because in my opinion, a lot of what made Honda great died along with Mr. Soichiro Honda in 1991.

Thank you for the article. I was watching the race the day when Aryton Senna went into the wall and was sad to hear that he pass away.
When i was with Acura, the only problems i ever saw where very minor little issues and just regular maintenance. The owners loved how reliable the NSX are and i spoke to one owner that purchase one and installed a Comptech supercharger kit instead of a F430 because of the reliablitlity of the NSX. (Their friend owned a F430 and it was always in the shop)
For it to compare to the exotics that are on the road today, they do require a power adder but for looks or handling they need really nothing.
Like i posted before, there is a lot of history behind the NSX.

Definitely, this is a car that has more than meets the eyes. You know the saying, You don't know how much you appreciate something until there gone, I think it applies here.
