I will never complain about Vancouver getting too hot. Got back a couple weeks ago from Fresno, California where it was 42-44 the day I left. This is nothing, maybe a different, more intense kind of heat here, but it's not bad. I played a round of golf today and it was awesome! I wear lightweight cotton, short-sleeves, linen, light colours and I'm still drenched in sweat by the time I step into the office. My commute consists of Skytrain and a bit of walking.

I like to run, but it's simply too hot to do so. I put some stress on my system on Wednesday by going for a run along the Coal Harbour seawall and into Stanley Park at high noon. My sleeveless top was of course drenched by about 4K, so I just simply ran with my shirt off the last leg. It was liberating, though I must admit I was a little self-conscious as I have don't have a lean runner's physique.
