that sounds pretty cool, but more work is needed for the design. it looks like a hair blower.

The design is very clean and organic. It looks like a blowdryer because blowdryers need the aerodynamic shape to achieve a more efficient air flow inside the dryer.
The way this camera is shaped is definitely a shift in paradigm, as the DSLRs we use today still maintain mechanical shapes.

but one of the joys of owning a dslr is the interchangeable lenses :( I saw this debut in shanghai expo this year and i had a sad face while everyone clapped T^T. But the design does look brilliant. I love the large screen on it haha.

Maybe for people who buy DSLRs ( and additional lenses ) just because they got the cash to burn. I'm sure real photographers would enjoy not having to fiddle with lenses...

isn't there's a reason why DSLRs don't use a single lens that's 15-500mm? it won't be optically as nice as interchangable ones.

You mean the real photographers who have, since the inception of the SLR, used expensive equipment, and multiple lenses, to achieve the best shot? Sure, they'll all change their habits overnight.

I'm thinking the wonder cam is not using a optical zoom but instead is recording at some stupid high rate like 50 or a 100 plus megapixels and then using a digital zoom. Just a guess.

I wonder how long before DSLR's can take 20 to 30 pictures a second continuous at 10 megapixels. That would be great.
