There's a few cop cars parked on Victoria Drive between 49th and 57th about 5 mins ago so maybe something went down.

saw cop cars sat at the intersections of 54th and nanaimo, and 54th and the next few streets east of that

I always see cops setup perimeters like that. Anyone know what they actually accomplish?? Big busts??

I live around 49th and Knight and i've been hearing these planes flying around.. They are police planes I believe, they left now tho.

i was a my friend's place chilling at their balcony and saw that helicopter at 2am on saturday flying over kingsway & victoria then it disappeared. came back around 2:30am with no lights on then it started circling over 49th and victoria. then at 3am while i was heading home on 49th ave. there were unmarked police cruisers roaming around and there were people in an suv got pulled over at the gas station on 49th and victoria.

No possible way it could be related based on the contents of the article. The shots fired happened over twelve hours prior, and the person they shot at was heading southbound into the US, where he was captured shortly after... so how that could relate to helicopters flying around Vancouver, I don't know...
