The Mounties have announced an arrest after a 17 year old boy was shot in the head early Wednesday morning in Surrey.

20 year old Steven Mulligan-Brum is charged with second degree murder.

He is in police custody.

Police say the 17 year old victim was essentially killed as retaliation because he was vandalizing cars on the street - slashing tires and kicking in doors.

Police say it appears he messed with the wrong person's car.

The victim is Adem Aliu of Surrey.
A memorial has been created in his honour.
