Very curvaceous.. especially the interior. The curvy silver accents on the steering wheel bother me :eek5:

Hyundai really stepped it up in the looks department lately.

If american cars weren't so ugly, maybe more people would buy them too.

when i was renting the Accent last weekend, i spotted a pretty sexy car that looked like a mazda 6, and it was a Sonata.

Hyundai is really stepping up their game, even car rentals are moving away from domestics!

when i say the new sonata, I didn't expect it to be a hyundai. It was pretty good looking.

except my only problem rit now is whatever the koreans are smoking i want a piece of it

why would anyone get a korean car when jdm cars cost the same
fully loaded elentra is $21g, no i rather drive a mazda3 /civic
genesis 2.0T fully loaded is $30g, basically the same price as rsx s / Si / csx s /speed 3

Genesis sedan starts $40g lolll
i rather have maxima/avalon g35 sedan/TL

fully loaded V8 is $50g......

sonata only comes in i4 according to website, fully loaded one is around $33ish
TSX/fully loaded accord anyone?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
problem rit now is price tag...
if i have to pay for couple grands more, than so be it. Better resale value, been in the industry longer.

american cars are no comparision with korean/jap cars, have you seen a dodge ram crash test? the top selling dodge is the ram and its safety is 0, even ford has horrid crash tests, there engines/trans arent anything to talk about either. my dads work van is a uplander and its brand new and already its having transmission problems.

funny ppl still swears by their domestics

lol it looks like an evil Mazda 3. Very nice though, hyundai's owning the design field nowadays. Jeez, it's like they suddenly jumped 20 years in car design.

Let's face it. Kids that are growing up and buying cars these days have no idea how crappy Hyundais were in the 80s and early 90s. Pony anyone? The Koreans basically have a clean slate to work with right now.

Back then many German cars (such as VW and Audi) were crap and people are snatching them up in droves right now. Japanese cars also used to suck crap back then. I'd take a 70s Chevy Caprice over a 1st gen Civic any day.

Hate to say it, but if Canada starts its own auto company, the cars will be worst than those Chinese cars. Auto companies learn from their mistakes, and those Chinese auto companies should get it right in the far far far future.

I would think so.
There's no way they can be a crown corporation, the red tape and bureaucratic nightmare would be horribly inefficient.

Having worked in engineering, there is zero error checking here.

And Unions?
Hah, there goes any sort of competitive advantage down the drain.

It's not that we would lack the know-how, it's just that our accepted framework for organizing that know-how is a joke.

Korea's trying but Japan is still the king in E.Asia. This is surprising since Korean's are known for leading edge technology

25g-30g for a 200bhp, RWD sport car is still cheap.
I don't think you can find any 200hp+ RWD sport car for under 35g.
The closest one would be a IS250, but a moderately loaded one would cost 40g+

There are plenty of ppl out there who would pay $10000 less to drive a car that is similar performance & features but with a crappier brand name.

Mugen EvOlutioN
07-21-2010, 10:31 AM
i suppose

IS250 isnt even a sports car, its a slow piece of shit. 200hp dragging a heavy ass 1500kg body shell. No whether its RWD/AWD/FWD it dont matter for that car. hell even if it was 2dr it'd still be the same result

i dont know, im starting to dig their new design...but i remain to hold my piece that their price tag is still fucked

except the only two nationalities that i know will buy it regardless...

well if hyundai did more promoting to its brand and made ppl believe it's a premium brand, then their price tags would be a steal.

however, they still have a long way to go.

^^ the FIFA world cup official sponsorship isn't cheap at all. Hyundai knows where it's weakness is and is working very hard to overcome that.
