We are currently looking for one or two new buy and sell moderators to fill some vacant positions. Do you like to cruise the buy and sell? Do you like to report inaccurate posts or buy and sell rule violations? If so, we may have a job for you!

All you really need to do is spend some time (preferably at least once a day) and look through specific Buy and Sell forums. We will asign you to 2 or 3 forums at first then maybe add more if you can handle it. I find it to be fun, interesting and of course I feel good helping Revscene as a community.

Interested applicants may contact me personally or !Niteraven for a brief online interview. You won't be made a moderator right away but rather go through a few simple tests to see if you have what it takes.

I've been a B&S mod for some time now, not as long as OD but long enough to meet some of the other mods and they're an awesome group. I've been wanting to help out on other areas of the board so this is why there is a position available.

I know alot of you are always volunteering to help out with whatever you can at the new unofficial meets that have been happening recently and thats very much appreciated. Cruising the boards I've seen some members ask how they can become a mod or how you can help out more, here's your chance to help RS even further.

A big thing that I look at are your quality of posts and maturity level overall on Revscene. This includes looking at post count, join dates, Thanks and Fails as well. If you have 100 posts and joined last month and have 81 fails in 8 posts then chances are you won't be considered for this position.

If you have reported posts in the past then you have already been recognized as a contributing member of Revscene by myself and other moderators.

How you govern yourselves on RS will determine your initial eligibility. It's the same as applying for a Government posting or RCMP for example. Do you think they would consider if you already have a criminal record?

current applicants being considered :
previous moderator experience considered an asset. If you are currently an active mod it will be taken into consideration as well in terms of added work load viability.

I don't recall seeing you at any meets or helping report posts or anything like that. Have any of us met you? Its not mandatory but its good to build a personal level of trust before we make anybody a moderator.

I have been on here for 10 years and I see a lot that is going on - including your posts. I make notes on certain members as well as their posts which makes it nice and easy to rule some people out. That said, I have not recieved a PM from you so consider yourself out of the running.

We have a few more people added to that list !NiteRaven. I will compile a list once all of the interviewees have responded.

I'm regularly on RS on my phone, during class, and at home almost all the time
majority of my viewing is done at the porn section :haha: offtopic, and buy&sell

If given the chance, I will regulate the buy&sell section for spammers, missing info (ie. call timers in cellphone section, people having more than 2 threads in the electronic section, or dealers posting more than 1 ad at a time in the car section)

I know some mods and veteran RS members, they know who I am as we do talk regularly on BBM...

I have narrowed the applicants down to six individuals. I will be contacting you six after the Revscene meet with some final questions which are designed to be a bit tougher. We like to make it a little difficult to guage social interaction as well as intelligence and maturity. We also have a long time line to see how interested you all are. Its nothing personal!

LOL....well, I just got back from vacation this morning so now I can get back into the hiring process. I have selected four moderators out of about 20 that applied so if you did not make the list, then please apply at a later date. It was pretty tough to narrow it down but I am confident that we have made the right decision. :). Announcements will be made very soon!

Four moderators have been chosen to be part of our elite team of Ninja robot pirate mods. I sifted through thousands of applicants (well, closer to 40 or so) and it was really tough to narrow it down to the four that I have chosen. If I have not chosen you, don't worry! We will need moderators again in the very near future. Your 'resumes' will be held on file so you won't need to do this all over again. You know who you are!
