Have never seen such lackadaisical security at a sporting even in my life.

I wonder if security did nothing at all maybe the kid would have stopped earlier?

If that kid was Terrel Owens it would be much more interesting to watch.

If I was a cop, I'd tackle this kid down, and break his nose and spit in his face.

In their defense, think back to the days of playing tag in an open field and how difficult it was to catch someone in a situation like that vs in a smaller, more enclosed space. Then add 30-40lbs of gear to the police compared to the shorts, t-shirt and runners of the idiot interrupting the game. Sometimes its easier to let the guy tire himself out.

Exactly. Why sweat when you don't have to? Let the idiot burn out, then tackle him and smash his face into the ground. It's not like he's going to escape.

if the kid had only 1 donut in his hands, I think all the cops would run after him.

You think so? I challenge you to a race. I'll load up my 2nd belt, and we can see how fast you run in full gear. :)

Well, difference is it wasn't exactly a one-on-one situation in the video... with at least three officers able to close in on a single target, it should be significantly easier...

Are you kidding me? They're not firefighters... A kevlar vest is around 5lbs and a handgun is around 2lbs. Add the taser, pepper spray, baton, boots and it should be no more than 10 lbs

Please THINK before you talk. If a cop is carrying 30lbs of equipment, he could carry all these with him:

javelin = 18 lbs

^ guy who ran out probably got bored by his father-in-law who likes the sport.
Instead of watching a spectators' sport, he sported for the spectators.

The 5 foot sprint to grab the guy after he already gave up was classic.
