This is the official volunteer thread for 2010's Summer meet August 29th.

If you feel that you can be a good ambassador for RS.net, and would like to help out at the meet please sign up here. You will be screened for eligibility by executive council and Head mods. We require team players that are responsible and diligent in keeping the meet safe, controlled, but fun for everyone whether it'd be traffic/parking control, manning the RS booths, RS ambassadors to the public etc..

RS is a registered corporation, all volunteer work can be used on your resume and references will be given.

Pm's would be issued upon passing eligibility requirements set out by council to applicants.

i'm in, as always, Mike can vouch for my work over the past few spring/summer meets!

Though if it's okay with the council, i'm gonna be 1/2ing my usual duty, because last summer meet, I basically didn't even get to be with my crew *ClubRSX*. I'll also be helping to register them this year.

bulk of the volunteer group will be from the new RS-Unofficial (see RS unofficial meets forum) who are basically internal volunteers and public volunteers.

Anytime during the day is fine for me or anytime during the night except on monday, wednesday and thursday. I might be able to skip out Wednesday if really needed.

Sorry, got to update my schedule cause I picked up a temporary job.

Monday - During the day up until 5:30 pm and Anytime after 7pm and I'll be in Vancouver/Burnaby (On Boundary Road)

Tuesday - I get off work at 9pm and that'll be in Burnaby.

Wednesday - I'll be working until 10:30 - 11:00 and that will be in White Rock

Thursday - I'll be at a meeting till about 9:30 - 10:00 and that will be in Richmond

Friday - I work from until 6 and will be in Burnaby, or anytime before 12:00 as long as it ends at around 12:00

Saturday - I work until 4:30 and that will be in Burnaby

Sunday - Free all day.

well, at this time due to everyone's schedules I'm going to suggest that volunteers show up an hour prior to the meet (9:30/10am - grab a coffee) and we'll go over the game plan and also help setup.

I think this is the best way to get everyone there at the same time, since every volunteer will have to attend meet anyways, just a bit sooner for the behind the scenes and setup.

any objections? (aside from the aww it's sunday it's too earrrrly)

our task is to introduce and meet each other in the team, go over tasks and what will be involved. Your direct supervisors will be Orgasm Donor and myself, but your tasks will be ultimately to help Execs to manage tasks while they host the meet.

for the volunteers.

i will be getting copies of the parking lot floor plan made. you can hand out a copy to each car coming in.

our sponsors for the event have provided some swag, i ask that you hand these out a long with the floor plan. basically ill be asking for a couple of volunteers at the enterance (gate at river road).

the exit will be the gate at vulcan road. there will be no car entry at that exit until midway thru the meet (say around 1:30pm). this will just help guide the mayhem that will happen from traffic.

tommy and mike will co ordinate the efforts. ill try to place the some cones the best i can to guide traffic the correct path

all volunteers will be chosen again for future meets, and appointed to a meets committee instead. Execs will oversee and chair the committee. volunteers will be able to be more involved in the actual planning of the meets in the future, pending execs approval or veto.
