Just a heads up...friend on fb posted that he saw a new speed camera being installed at the intersection of cambie and no.5 road in richmond...

and I actually passed by today and saw the red light camera and another box thing which does look like a speed camera...both ways on cambie..

and ppl that commented also said there would be ones installed on steveston hwy and no.3 + no.4 road as well as all along no.2 road..
don't know how accurate the sources are though


anyone know of other speed cameras outside of richmond...google search didnt turn up anything..

im always around that intersection, havent noticed it yet but really a speed camera? that intersection is always congested anyways lol

I thought we couldn't have cameras viewing the public in richmond? Isn't that why the some of the cameras have the glass broken?

Why not? I can go onto any public street in BC, set up a stationary shot with a video camera and tape people walking by, and then air it on TV. It's all completely legal.

yes, there's no expectation of privacy when you're out in public. so be careful about what you do in public as it might be captured and shown in a very public way... ;)
