Review The Picture Above, Post A New One
Amaru

Based on the "game"-style threads in the General forum, I thought it would be cool to have a thread where each poster reviews the photo in the post above theirs.
So, here's what I'm thinking:
- Give at least one positive comment and at least one piece of constructive criticism of the photo in the post above.
- Post *one* photo of your own for review by the next poster. (Photos should be taken by you..)
- You can post in the thread as often as you want but please post a new pic each time.
I'll post a pic below, and the next person to respond to the thread should give a brief review then post their own pic, and we'll go onwards from there.

I'll play! I'd like to see the car as the subject of the photo personally. Maybe could have used a better lite location. Cool idea, but i think it could have been executed differently. Keep on shooting!

Oh exciting, I think that black line on top of the photo is a little bit distracting none the less awesome shot Boostslut.

^ somehow it provokes a lot of emotion.. personally though, I would maybe turn down the reds a bit.
Great pic!

Wicked photo, absolutely beautiful colors. I would crop out most of the large black space at the top of the photo though... I don't think it adds much to the composition.

The thread is, review the picture above, post a new one. Which means post only 1 photo. I am going to get this thread back on track.
Your photo has a very crooked horizon. Next time when shooting with a tripod, try to make sure everything is straight, and take the extra time to look through the viewfinder to make sure there are no other "issues".
I like how you didn't over expose the night shot. The exposure between the city and science world has some balance.
Going to use a more dated photo from Feb 2009

This has potential....maybe bring out more shadow detail, and desaturate the blue channel.

I like the upper half of the picture. The wave at the bottom is too rough/busy for my taste.

I like the two people there, but I think the photo is slightly underexposed a tad.

^I love the colors, personally I think the fence kinda distracting.

Thanks for the feedback Senna, for some reason I felt like this photo should be untouched so I left it as it is.

Great pic!
Hmm perhaps I should play around with the photo and see the result, thank you Captain. :)
Picture was taken in Vietnam, Hanoi.

I like the unique look of the photo, it's very sharp and eye-catching. However, I think the high contrast detracts from the photo and makes it hard to make out detail in the buildings.

Interesting colour palate...a little soft though.
Went to the Vancouver Canadians baseball game on Thursday night. This is with a Canon 5DmkII + 24mm f3.5 TS-E II.

Likes: Looks great! I love how you played wit the focus, and the look of the spotlights is very cool.
Dislike: The shadow on the left doesn't seem to add anything to the photo, and I might have preferred the player to be a bit more dominant in the photo, but thats just my 2 cents!

great capture, really sharp image.
if theres more contrasts in the picture i would like it even more.
maybe casue of colour, it seemed the objects isnt stand out from the background.
but yeah, its from a guy like me that edits most of the photos to get what i really want.
nonetheless, great shot right out of the camera.
heres mine,
im more into street snaps so ive got nothing really technical.

Dig the reflections and the sky, but horizon crooked is distracting.

^^ I think it would've been better if you had the subject more in focus, and not a fan of the watermark as it is too large and distracting to the overall photo..

^^ Hahaha... not sure what to say about that pic. Very nice.
I'm wondering if it might be a bit more effective with further cropping (putting a bit more emphasis on the subject?)...

A little bit under to my liking... if the frame could be wider to cover the goose body would have more power

nice capture, if a wider lens is used and cropped to symmetric would be much nicer in my opinion.
