Good comfortable alternative to STi
TOPEC

whats a good alternative to a sti that's comfortable (basically any car is better at this than the sti), luxurious, yet at the same time can still "have fun"?
performance wise it doesnt have to be on par with a sti, ideally, it would be a fun when i want it to be and comfy for those daily drives.
throw me any suggestions u have.
preferably 4 doors

I'm assuming budget is around 45k due to an alternative to an STi?
Accord V6 (Use leftover budget on stance)
G35 Sedan (See above)
IS350
Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8L (4.6L if you don't mind 2nd hand)
BMW 328i
MB C300
All around that 40-45k range. Even better cars if you go 2nd hand.
a used m car?
u can press the sport/m button and go crazy like the 7er on highway 1

IS-F if you go 2nd hand.
It would have to be 3 series.
This.
3-series is the way to go.
If you think the interior is too bland, go with an Audi A4 or even an S4 with the sacrifice of a bit of fun.
The Mercedes C class isn't a bad choice either.

some good suggestions, but i forgot to add no used cars, not knowing how the car was taken care of really puts me off, even if it was a used car from a close friend of mine i'd stil stay away from it.
so far im really interested in the S4 b8, or the 335i/xi, or the c350 4matic/no 4 matic, then again, for another 10K it would be a c63, or a M3 both base but gas would be kinda ridiculous.
leaning towards the S4 due to 1) AWD 2) force induction 3) not too many on the road vs a 335 or a c300/350
btw, how are audi's quality now a days? i remember wayy back in the days audis had all these little electronics problem which costs alot to fix, and then a friend of mine has this ticking problem from the wheel well even after going to 2 different shops and replacing MOST of the suspension components. if u pay attention to the A4, alot of them has this ticking noise when turning.
BMW3 (335 will be pushing it in terms of price once you spec it with options)
IS350
S4 (This will be pricey ~60+ once you spec it)
Infiniti G37
Those are the few I have driven and are somewhat semi-comfy and kinda ok on consumption and sort of fun when you want a cheeky moment every now and then.
Honestly, nothing comfy within that price range will be as fun as a STi/EVO (you will have tons of fun during snowy/rainy days in these 2 too). I know you said you will only buy new (personally choice too) but your best bet would be to get a Used STi/EVO and a super comfy DD like a Lexus ES/GS.
u want a new performance luxury car but u dont wanna pay for gas which is marginal at best and worry about maintenance when almost all new euros comes with factory warranty and the built quality nowadays are pretty good already. thats silly.
well given ur price range i assume no m/p cars... get a s5 then

dude chill
1) s5 is 2 doors, did u read my first post?
2) i have no problem paying for gas as long as its reasonable, but i dont think 2XXKM per a 60L premium tank is reasonable for a daily drive. re c63
3) would u like to pay 50+K for a brand new car only to have shit go upside down on u 1 month after warranty expires?
4) again, i mentioned "performance wise it doesnt have to be on par with a sti" in the first post

Would you consider an Altima 3.5 SR
MSRP: $24,520
Invoice: $22,727
They have trims that aren't as gas guzzling, like Altima 3.5S, Altima 2.5 SR or Altima 2.5 S. All decent "fun" imo.

I dont know why I didn't think of the S60 R at first. A fabulous car! It has these big confortable seats, active chassis settings, 300hp 2.5L Turbo, AWD, the styling is also very beautiful. It would make good DD status, and is also very very fun. I've driven tons of them and have fallin in love with them. The market for them is around $20k to $30K depending on the shape, mileage, and year of the car.

if u don't mind american cars u could go for a
charger r/t or a caddy cts-v
335i or S4's would probably be out of budget for you. As others have said, they get to $60k when spec'd up.
G37 is a great choice. Looks great, plenty of power. Comfy front seats, but mediocre rear seats.
TL SH-AWD is FUN. Get a manual. The torque vectoring is very good on windy roads. Can't get past the looks though...
IMO, a GTI is a good car; practical, fun, affordable, economical. But I think you probably won't consider a GTI after driving an STi though.

have you ever driven an STI? Or been IN one? They are pretty comfortable and "luxurious" stock.
It's when you start modifying them that they get unbearable.

stock, it's not comfortable, the oem suspension is BOUNCY as hell, the seats give u an aching back if driven for more than an hour straight, and dont get me started with the interior. hell even a nice set of aftermarket coilovers RIDES BETTER THAN STOCK. there is nothing "comfortable" or "luxurious" about a sti.
if u've ever owned one u'll know not to use the words COMFORTABLE and LUXURIOUS to describe the car even in STOCK form.

I don't agree, stock the car is pretty comfortable for what it is capable of. However my experience is with the GR chassis (08+)

He owns one - he already said so. I would assume that being an owner of a vehicle means that you've driven it or at least been in it? :lol
It's pretty ridiculous to say the STI rides like a luxury car. It doesn't. Just because it's softer than a clapped out civic doesn't mean it's a luxury ride dude.
It's all a matter of what you're happy with. Obviously not everybody has the same standards of what's acceptable and what isn't, or everyone would be in an s2000, and not some luxo boat like your skyline. ;)

buddy, we all know STi is a track/sports car not A S class. Its designed to go around the corners
IMO luxury car would be more like GS, 7 series, S class, A6, M35/M45 or something along those lines.
i Dont really give a fuck whether u hate me or not, not like i have a reason to like u anyway. Besides STi aint exactly cheap anyway. Fully loaded is about $47ish +/- plus taxes. Basically a $50 car....im sure if one has $50g to blow on a car, $60g wouldnt be a problem either.
