i'm sure some of us RSers probably have cars bought or passed down by our parents, but the majority of us would rather work for ourselves and get what we can actually afford, like myself. but those with rich parents are lucky. they got the car because of one thing, their parents are super wealthy. it's money and everyone loves money and would love to get whatever they dreamed of getting if they had enough for it. if my parents were billionaires and they decided to get me a lambo, i'd sure as hell take it. it's a lambo afterall! and so would most of us here. it's all the parents decisions to give their kids what they want. maybe the parents wanted to give their kids what the parents never had when they were younger. sure these cars could go into better hands(which i hope for), but parents do it cause they love their children and want to keep their kids happy. i guess cruising around in a lambo knowing your parents are billionaires is far better than cruising around in a old civic knowing your parents are billionaires:) i'm not startled by anyone's posts, everyone has their own opinions. but i respect the fact that the parents have the heart to pour that much money into making their kids happy, regardless of how much it costs. btw, the white murci with the eyelids is sick! :D

Alot of this urge to show off I think comes from pent up rage of being unable to show off in China. The price of something "common" like an S class there can easily get you a high end exotic here.

That, and Chinese culture places alot more emphasis on what you drive and wear when compared to western civilization. Call me a banana but what we're interpreting as "showing off" is kind of like their way of "recognizing social classes."
