Just wanted to hear your guys thoughts on places like Qoola and TuttiMelon, etc. Some advertise probiotics, but is it actually a 'healthy' dessert?

I prefer tuttimelon over Qoola. A tad cheaper, and their flavours just have well.... more "flavour" I guess. The Last time I went I got hooked onto the "Green Tea" flavour they had. I believe they also do asian desserts now too, but I have yet to try those out

Don't get me wrong though, Qoola is great too - a bit thicker, not as thick as ice cream, but definitely thicker than tuttimelon

Can somebody explain the appeal of froyo to me?
As much a foodie as I am, I never really understood why...

Always just kind of ruled it out as "fake icecream" for people that don't have good metabolisms

Decent product but grossly overpriced, especially with the awful and cheap frozen fruit they use as toppings.

I prefer a tub of plain yogurt and a spoon.

But a really good froyo place is Timothys at steveston village. Really good.

+1 for timothy's, the cone is the best part tho! my gf has been looking for a froyo place like PinkBerry in LA, there you choose the size and flavor, then you get unlimited choices on toppings at no extra cost. not like these 50cent per topping places

Actually, no. My friend's friend owns the place, and I used to go there all the time just after they opened, when I used to help out at Yuji's across the street. I had no idea that she is in the Entertainment Book.

Yes, Blueberrry has closed down. I didn't think they'd last long...they opened last year in the dead of winter, and I never saw people in there.

I enjoy Tuttimelon. They are pretty generous with the toppings they give you

+1 vote for Tuttimelon.
