pretty big accident one block east from nanaimo in the east bound lane of 1st. from what i could see, the front end of one car was really chew up and a street lamp is down. apparently the guy that caused the accident stayed to point the ambulance in but then threw his keys into a shrub and booked it into the alley when the cops were showing up. the cops caught him though

That's kind of a shitty intersection imo. Especially when hanging a left a left from 1st Ave westbound onto Nanaimo Southbound. A bit of a crest in the road so you can't see what's coming towards you as easily.
