Just wondering, for those car lovers, how many times do you go to Canadian tire per week????

None. I fucking hate that place. They treat you like a criminal whenever you need to return something, especially the one on Kingsway and Gladstone across from the Blockbuster Video.

I will never buy anything from Cambodian Tire ever again.

i dont get how they stay in business. none of the staff knows anything. takes like 20 minutes to get a staff to grab an item from the warehouse, and the store looks like it hasn't been cleaned for the past 5 years.

i only went there once to use their washroom. cambodian tires sucks

Probably once per year.

Once a month, but I dread it. The customer service is always tragic, it never ceases to amaze me.

I find the store layout pretty awful too. Most stores have vertical and horizontal aisles, sports equipment is sometimes next to paint supplies, etc.

The prices are pretty reasonable when things are on sale though.

Then where do u guys go to get the car stuff or tools u need?

Not really racist!

That new one on Grandview Hwy is a disaster, all that the employees do is stand there and they have NOTHING to do cause there are never customers

i dont go there for car stuff, but i think the one on Cambie and 7th is really good. I've had to return a few things there in the past couple years and they never questioned me. Even an escuse like "I bought something more comfortable" for a camping chair I bought was fine...the lady even laughed it off and said "no kidding".

Customer service there has always been great in my experience.

Maybe the car section has people with more attitude working there?

I've had a good experince at the Canadian Tire on Cambie & West 7th as well as the one on Grandview Highway. I really like the new layout of the stores. It's a lot more refreshing and overall provides a nice shopping experience. I have yet to run into issues with customer service.

On average, I go to Canadian Tire maybe 2 times a year for miscellaneous items such as car wash soap (when on sale) or microfibre towels.

I buy all my interior neonz there, they r soooo kewl!

Seriously though, I went to the one in Maple Ridge because I had a free Oil change coupon. I watched the person pull my car into the bay.... reved super high, dropped clutch bogged then stalled.... it was not fun to watch.

Canadian Tire is like my 2nd home. I think I went there 4 times this week.

It is definately improve alot than the old canadian tire. Now you can get almost anything you need for home, car, etc.

Maybe once every two months or so. You'll inevitably be missing some kind of special socket, adaptor, or wrench if you work on your car at all, and Canadian Tire's usually closer by than Lordco, and reasonable with their return/exchange policy.

i only go there when things are cheap & i know exact what i want (all the way down to the details) like a light bulb or something like that

but if it's home renovation & stuff like that i go to home depot cuz when im not 1000% sure i can ask them (CT u can never get a guy to do that) & they got more stuff

i remember once i was at CT with my dad standing in the line up while i looked out the window on a rainy day & saw 5 honger chinese dudes try to install wiper blades on there honda accord

& after many attempts of fail the dudes go back with a wet receipt for a refund, i just laughed after leaving CT cuz of fail i just saw that day

I only go to Crappy Tire if I'm in a rush and need something real quick, and if Lordco, Napa etc. is too far away.

The one on grandview hwy is very close to my place so yeah. The service isn't THAT bad based on my past experiences, but I do find the employees there quite clueless.

an old elementary i know works there & he knows nothing about light fixtures, all he know is screwing a light bulb & thats it

& yes he works a CT in there lighting department

Cambodian Tire is one of those places you hit every other month... but then one day you'll end up there multiple times...

I went there 4x one day when redoing my bathroom... tried 3 different tub faucets and it was the last one that finally worked. Lougheed Hwy in Coq has a great return policy... except they take the defective one you returned and put it back on shelf =)

@ diicii - KMS Tools (http://www.kmstools.com/) on the other hand I visit 5 days a week... but maybe because I work there =)

I go every two weeks.

Reason: I actually build things with my hands, change my own oil, repair my house, do my own electrical and plumbing.

I'm a Man. Thats why.

...I don't ask for help from the staff, and I know what I'm buying before I go there. Usually its nothing from housewears.

I'll stop by whenever oil is cheap (usually every other week) and for car cleaning stuff.

Sometimes I will buy detailing stuff there.

I hate those annoying ladies that try to sell credit cards.

But, I refuse the bring my car to Canadian Tire. They always try to rip me off. I brought my car in to get my brakes checked a couple of years ago and the douche wanted to MACHINE my rotors for $500. So, I just brought it to another shop and got them swapped for 180.

Did this douchebag explain to you why it cost $500 to machine rotors?

That price seems extremely high.

The fucking theft prevention guy is suchhh a fucking goof at the king George one, I'm in there looking for an exact nut/bolt to match one I brought in and I have a feeling im being watched for whatever reason (OMG! Don't try to steal those .75 cent nuts!) so I look back over my shoulder and there's this old goof like peaking over an isle at me, so I'm like lol ok, I know the guy is the theft prevention guy because ive run into him before there but he obviously doesn't recognize me

So after like 10 minutes they don't have the nut/bolt combo to match the one I brought in, as im walking out buddy stops me and asks what's in my pockets, I show him the nut/bolt I brought in and told him if he didn't think it was my own go match it up in your fucking isle or else go get me the manager, buddy tripped then I asked him his name and told him I was reporting his BS to head office lol, fucking idiot targets me at the King George location when I walk in wearing like 3 bills worth of clothes and some junky walks in behind me in a baggy ass jacket and sweat pants and he just happens to not buy anything right? Lol fuckin pissed me off

LoL, yeah... our school liaison officer told us the same thing... said he's done that before, when he knew the theft prevention guy was watching him, he would very obviously pocket a bunch of merchandise while walking around... and when the store had all the theft prevention team assembled and ready to take him down when he walked out, he would just take everything out of his pockets before leaving. :p

Not really racist!

^ are they allowed to take you down if you are really close to the door
(walking towards it, about a meter or two away) even with the intention to take everything out at soon as you get there?

or can u just sue them if they touch you... just a thought...might backfire?
