Mounties have updated an Amber Alert issued on Sunday for a missing 12-year-old B.C. boy, saying his suspected abductor has changed cars.

Investigators allege Daniel Sturm was forcibly taken from his Chilliwack home at around 12:45 p.m. by his father Kenneth Morey. They were last seen driving away in a white Honda Accord with B.C. licence plate 045-NFM.

At 3 p.m., police updated the alert to say Morey was now driving a 2001 grey Honda Accord with licence plate 321-JKW.

They believe the car may be heading to the Langley area.

Sturm is white, five-feet-tall , weighs 98 lbs. and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a striped hoodie, black shorts, an orange T-shirt and black and white runners at the time of the alleged abduction.

Morey is 56 years old, 5'10" tall, weighs 220 lbs. and has grey hair and blue eyes.

Police say they are concerned for Sturm's safety, and are asking the public's help locating him. Anyone who sees Sturm, Morey or the Honda Accord is asked to call 911 immediately.
