paying tuition with cheque
anybody knows if you write a cheque for the amount that's more than tuition to the school, do you get cash change/refund for it or would you have to re-write the cheque for the exact amount??? :D

You should take your cheque book with you and fill in the amount when you get there. Most institutions won't give you change on a cheque.

the difference just remains in your account as credit, you'll have to fill out a form to have it back in cash etc.

Also, if you get any refund/cash back, they will mail you a T4 and that counts as your "income" from SFU. Yes, it's retarded but I didn't care because I am poor and makes no difference to my taxes.
