Anyone know any pretty good 24 hour coffee shops? Preferably in vancouver/burnaby area. Don't really care for amazing food like sandwiches or anything.

I haven't been in ages, but Calhouns used to be awesome for fuelling up with late night coffee and food. It's a common place for UBC students to do some late night cramming before a test in the morning. I know I came across more than a few friends doing exactly that at 2 in the morning... :lol

Tim Hortons near Gilmoure skytrain on Lougheed is 24hrs, just be careful though, really heaty with all the cops that frequent it.

Also the Timmies on North Road in the plaza beside Lougheed Mall is open 24hrs too.

Timmys usually depends if they have enough staff to operate 24hrs.

i knew 4 locations in edmonton that arent 24hrs when i lived there..


but yea, if you want coffee in the middle of the night, timmys are the best bet.

the only timmys in vancouver that i know for sure is 24hrs is on Terminal Ave and Main St. i get coffee there b4 i go work my graveyard shift.

Your best bet would be Bread Garden @ Robson and Bute. They have pretty sweet stuff to eat + Wi-Fi.

The one big problem with Calhouns is the lack of power outlets. Unless they put in more since I used to study there, there were only two places in the store to plug in. Also, I think now they ask you to buy something once per hour, and no studying during peak hours.

The Tim Hortons in Richmond Center and the one by 3 and Cambie have the same owner, and those two locations don't care if you just loiter.

The McDonalds on No 3 and Granville is open 24 hours. And if I remember correctly the McDonalds by East Hastings also has a 24 hour lobby. I'm sure there's more out there that are 24/7. I prefer McDonalds coffee over Tim Hortons Coffee

Number 9 most probably does have coffee. But depresses me the fuck out. If I ever had to study I would never study there LOL.

What pisses me off is that Tim Hortons near Waterfront on Seymour that isn't 24/7, but I guess its not really a free standing location. While its exposed to the street its technically part of Harbour Centre. Would be awesome to walk between Pop Opera and the clubs in Gastown late at night and grab some doughnuts. :drool
