Hey guys, I started sifting through some pictures and I started to notice the little dot that was noticeable in all of them. I didn't notice until now since most of my shots that I was going through were dark backgrounds. I thought it was something with the lens(realized it probably has 0% effect on this). I checked some of my older pictures and there it was! I'll try to post some examples of what I mean in a bit.

Has this ever happened to anyone? How do I go about fixing this? Do I just bring it into the Nikon at Richmond and show them? Are there any other tests I should do? I'm going to take pictures of just black and see if it's there. I think there needs to be some light for it to be visible though.

Re-map the sensor if your camera has that function. If not, you can just clone it out, but if it really bothers you, unfortunately you're gonna have to send it to Nikon.

The D90 doesn't have a remapping feature. I guess it's not that bad to just clone it out but it's gonna get tedious if I have to do it for every picture :(. I don't really want to be without a camera for a couple weeks so cloning will have to do!

Are you sure it's not just a dust particle?

You can check all other dust spots by shooting on bright white surface at the highest F number (e.g. F22), manual focus.....take shot.....

Then under/over expose using software to detect dusts
