If Nevada gubernatorial candidate Eugene "Gino" DiSimone gets his way, $25 will buy you the right to drive up to 90mph for a day. DiSimone estimates his "free limit plan" will raise $1 billion a year for Nevada. From the article: "First, vehicles would have to pass a safety inspection. Then vehicle information would be loaded into a database, and motorists would purchase a transponder. After setting up an account, anyone in a hurry could dial in, and for $25 charged to a credit card, be free to speed for 24 hours."

LoL... I'm sure that's gonna pass.

This just in, xtc_604 moved to Nevada. In other news LA is charging $50 a day for an unlimited shotgun pass.

Why not? If it's on those long desolate stretches of highway in the desert who cares how fast people drive at least this way they will generate revenues.... I'm sure it's on specific roads.

Berz out.

For many, it's already free to do that on the Coq. lol

Seriously though, 90mph on the I15 or 93 is very feasable.

so you average 145kph on hwys all the time??
mind you that alot of our highways are 2 lanes with traffic lights like Grandview hwy and and parts of lougheed hwy have lights.. you can very well go up to 145 but end up braking coz of lights... so is it worth the trouble to replacing your brakes sooner just to get to a traffic light sooner?

TransCanada Hwy on the other hand has no lights and most parts has 3 lanes so you are able to drive for long periods at 145kph

145kph is a good speed if ur going through mission-chill and so on, 2-3 lanes, most drivers are smart enough to move over, and its just farms/fields on both sides of the road.

I could hold 160km/h comfortably in my station wagon on the first section of the sea to sky. It was an 82 volvo with 2 other people and full to the top with camping gear and a full cargo box. Handled like a dream.

Can't afford to go over 110 in the 4runner. The gas kills me.

this was my point, TransCanada is perfect for going 120-140kph... but not every hwy, coz BC hwys are bunk... haha... 1-2 lanes with traffic lights and they still call it Hwy :confused:
