A pretty neat feature from the Vancouver sun including lots of charts and interactive maps: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/crash/index.html
Most dangerous intersections are:
1. Knight Bridge offramp onto SW Marine Drive
2. Burraurd St. offramp onto Pacific Blvd
3. 1st Ave. On/Offramp onto Hwy 1
4. Granville and 41st
5. Main and Terminal
lol at the Richmond city map, its covered in purple dots: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/crash/index10.html

haha. and you guys bitch about having to pay higher insurance than us in the interior.
the big 4 in the 604 (van, bby, rmd, sry) account for about 230,000 crashes
the okanagan accounts for about 20,000.

the okanagan accounts for about 20,000.
we have almost 10x the population though and its densely packed
so proportionately its the same really

we have almost 10x the population though and its densely packed
so proportionately its the same really
the big 4 have a population of 1.4million and claim 230k crashes
kelowna/vernon/penticton is about 200k and claim 20k we will round up to 21k crashes
the big 4 in the 604 claimed 1 crash per 6 people
the okanagan claimed 1 crash per 9.5 people
so you are MORE LIKELY to get in an accident in the 604 than in the okanagan
= higher insurance rates.

They should have just put a big purple dot on richmond
there should be barneys all over Richmonds asian supermarket parking lots.
Are all these parking lot accidents? LOL.
why would you stop for a yield sign?
It's a yield, not a merge lane?

Wow, there are THAT many crashes?
I looked at a bunch of the intersections along Knight Street, and they average about 100 crashes per year. On any given large intersection on Knight Street between Kingsway and 49th, there's a crash every three days? Wow, didn't know it was THAT frequent.

i think a big problem is ppl r always in a hurry for no reason. I always get tailgated during rush hour. What I dun get is that there's no point in constantly changing lans in bumper to bumper traffic. I see so many close calls when ppl dun shoulder check. Why are ppl in such a hurry to get to the next red light where they'r gonna stop anyways?
