Do you know where I can get my stuff engrave cheap?
I recently got my knives set but everyone in my cooking class have the same knives set as well. So I don't want people to take my knife without knowing it's their.
I have 4-5 knives in my set and I want to engrave my full name on each of one.

There are usually stores in the major malls that can do that, I know Metrotown has at least one place that engraves all sorts of memorabilia.

Any idea how much do they charge per letter or name?

Personally Yours engraves, they're across from BMO under the food court. When I worked there a few years ago it was $0.80/letter. I'm sure its changed though. Best to go in or call them.

They did knives when I worked there as long as they were under $500 for the set and replaceable.

i really wouldn't do it for a few reasons, it might not turn out well, the don't guarantee their work and it's done by a non skilled dude.
you could still try but just be aware.

I used to work their as well and the quality of the engraving really depends on the work despite the fact that it is machine operated. The item must also be replaceble and under a certain amount.

I went to Your Engraved and the lady tried to rip me off.
She said she will do it for $10 at starting price plus 99 cent each letter.
Few minutes later, she asked me where i got my knifes,
She told me $20 bucks plus 99 cent each letter.

The set up fee depends on how much the item initially costs. Ie. Something over $100 will be more expensive than something under that.
