My friend and I are going out for lunch tommorow and we will be in surrey, Just wondering what restaurants do you guys recommend for lunch? ~15 bucks a person price point? Names, short review, location please..

Thanks.

What do you like? In terms of gourmet eats, Surrey doesn't have that much to offer.
Around Surrey Central, (if you're into franchise fast-food types) you can try the Charlie's sub inside the mall. Decent servings, nice and greasy Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and wash it down with some lemonade.
The other location I'd recommend for Surrey Central is Pho Tam, their fried rice combo platters are amazing stuff your face type eats. Big platter of fried rice with your choice of protein topping and a bigass spring roll, just can't go wrong. It's right by the alleyway, kind of hard to spot at first but you can see it from the Safeway parking lot.

friend is not much into asian food, and trying to avoid food courts, lol, she works in a mall and wants to get away from them as much as possible. a sit down restaurant would be good. Anyone go to the Keg by guildford?

I've been to Pho tam and i agree they are really good.

The Keg in Guildford is really not worth trying. Maybe it's just because I think The Keg as a whole is overrated.

If you're dead set on sit down, non-Asian cuisine, maybe Red Robins?

Guildford station is the best pub is Surrey, the food is great being reasonably priced with a real good laid back atmosphere. Other then that in Guildford Red Robins which has already been said as well Earls across the street and for some Japanese there's Akasaka behind the movie theatres which is really decent.

Big plus one for the guildford station pub. If you want something fancier, the Old Surrey Restaurant at 132nd st and 72nd ave is a great place to go to. Fusion of French and $$$$$$$$$ food. Better than the Keg, probably around the same for prices.

fresgo inn is still pretty decent ... been around for a really long time

pretty much its like an old diner place that serves random stuff like ribs, spaghetti, meatloaf, burgers, fried chicken, etc.

^i wouldnt say its really too decent, but i enjoy eating there.

the food quality is like cafeteria food but the portion size is out of control.

^ ya I agree, it's not like good good food, but when you're bored of fastfood, they provide slightly more variety. I grew up with that stuff, but at the downtown location.

double mushroom burger is what I get :D

+1 to Guildford Station. Their deep fried stuff isn't that good, but everything else is awesome for pub food. Plus its all under $10. I really like their chowders and burgers.
