But I agree that Lounges are better to actually mingle. And some Lounges still have dance floors as well if that's a concern.

Caprice Venue and barcelona are consistently the best.

Eh clubs are what you make out of it, if you get shot down it's not the end of the world. Just don't leave a club with "what ifs" then start flaming the club because you didn't have the balls. I've never been to a lounge, but I'm sure I would like it probably more than a club, but I probably would be drinking beer over shots, depending on the environment

There's a couple flip girls, I think more Asians. Lots of white girls though, probably the majority for venue. I like it because I've always gotten lucky with that club. In terms of getting numbers and grinding with chicks, but like I said it's what you make of your night and how ambitious you are. Space wise for venue it's pretty small I think? Maybe I'm thinking pop opera(bunk club imo). I haven't gone clubbing in ages, gossip is huge though but that's why it's never packed unless an event is going down. Smaller space, less room, more chances of getting a couple dances.

I assume that the OP is in his early 20s, so I guess clubs are still novelties.

But, for the rest of us who are tired of the scene and the loud music, I would recommend the Yaletown Brewery (the pub side, not the restaurant) on a Friday or Saturday night. I might not go out enough, but I can't think of a better place in the city where you can go, grab a drink, check out some talent (there's plenty of it - for both women and men), and actually talk to people in an unpretentious environment.

Word to the men - it helps if you're 6 feet or taller.
