Just launched yesterday. $8/mo..streaming older movies and tv shows. I was surprise to see it under $15/mo considering it's $9/mo in the USA. Doesn't seem to have any details on HD contents in Canada. Many Canadians are concerns about their ISP plan and bandwidth caps when streaming unlimited HD content.
What are your thoughts?I think the selection sucks but this may become popular in the near future..I'm one of those that don't care too much about sports or news.

As expected, there are no brand-new releases on that list. But there are a handful of good, somewhat recent, films like "(500) Days of Summer" and "Slumdog Millionaire". And if you're a classic movie junkie, there's loads to choose from: "Dr. Strangelove", "The Apartment" and "Vertigo".
Netflix also seems to have a somewhat decent selection of relatively recent TV shows. They appear to have all eight seasons of "Monk", for example, and the first three seasons of "Mad Men". Plus the goofily funny "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" with Neil Patrick Harris.
And for parents, there's a fair amount of kid content to keep your children entertained in a pinch -- "Dora the Explorer", "Elmo in Grouchland", "Dinosaur Train".
I stream all my movies/tv shows (old and new) from icefilms. They release dvd hd quality screeners for movies while they are still in theaters sometimes too :P
The feeds/sources are usually reliable since theres more than 1 person uploading
I purchased it yeserday and am using my ps3. They have a download on the ps3 so it streams directly. To be honest the new quality of films is not great. But it is AMAZING when it comes to foriegn films, docuementaries and classic films. It has a great selection of award winning films and for 8 bucks its embarresing not to find 2 films a month which would make it worth while because the number of films they have is amazing.
Selection sucks. Will definitely subscribe if they can at least match the US content. I mean, christ, their newest movie is Good Luck Chuck (at least from what I can see on their site's recently added category).

Are you getting any lag? I know there's a free month trial but i'll wait to sign up when the selection gets a bit better. Are there any HD contents? How's that?
I'm one of those few that still goes to the Video Rental store like once or twice a month....
The video rental place is just a 5min drive and there's nothing that beats poping that DVD into the machine and having guarenteed quality without worring about lag or DC. And of course picking up snacks and drinks at the same time too.....
My scale for how I wanna watch any movie:
Stupid/Dumb Movies = Stream at home
OK Movies without much production = Wait for Rental
Great Movies = Watch at the theaters
