First off before someone says something, I can't contact ICBC about this until Monday so I was hoping someone here might have some insight until then. :p

Anyway, my car was in an accident prior to buying it and I have reason to believe the repairs weren't done correctly. Now, I know most ICBC-accredited repair shops tend to have lifetime warranties, but do they only apply with the at-the-time owner, or does ICBC make these shops keep the warranty for the life of the car, regardless of ownership?

the warranty on repairs only applies for as long as you own your vehicle.

I'd start by contacting ICBC or CarFax and find out for sure if that's the case.

2nd - If there has been a previous repair, take it into a shop you trust and ask them to look at it. If there is questionable repair work, then I'd call ICBC and see what can be done.

Not happy with your repairs?

Repairs done by ICBC-accredited shops are guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle.

Even if the work was done wrong and it was an ICBC claim you will be wasting your time, if you are not the original owner of the claim/car.
