you don't contact anyone, you just swerve around it and continue driving.

some other animals will have a nice meal, so why report it and steal their food away, how greedy of you sir.

If *I* see a dead animal on the road, *you* shouldn't contact anyone. *I* on the other hand, would probably contact the city works department, or whoever is responsible for the road maintenance.

http://www.city.burnaby.bc.ca/cityhall/departments/engnrn/engnrn_faq/engnrn_faq_rdsand.html lists the relevant numbers. It also lists the roads and highways that fall under Provincial maintenance, and contact info for that.

Unless the animal is an actual road hazard (a deer would be; a skunk wouldn't) they'll probably just leave it there and let nature (and traffic) take its course.

Skin the animal and eat it later.

SPCA's the easiest to contact and they can either deal with it themselves or give you the contact number of the appropriate department/agency.

I can tell you where there's a freshly hit (and partially dragged) opossum in Langley. :lol damn animal jumped in front of me and got caught on my subframe. :( The funny thing is that as I drove off afterwards, I saw two cats in my rearview mirror starting to attack the fresh corpse...

You should carry a small shovel for such occasions: DIY.

If the corpse is in the middle of the lane, nudge it closer to the edge where it'll be more likely to be run over. You could even set up a lawn chair and watch the carnage ensue. If you set it up right, the car tire will run over the torso, and you'll see the it's guts come out from the orifices in the head.

I saw a dead crowd on the road the other day, i went beside the dead body. After few days, the crowd became really flat to the ground.
