Call me crazy and I'm not GTR fanboi at all but I would take a 9 second GTR over an 8 Second Supra any day. An 8 second supra is only good for one thing and that's going fast in a straight line.

I'm not too impressed by that number at all. For what it is its alright even tuned skylines are hittin those numbers.

While a high power supra is only good in a str8 line it is really damn fuckin good at it. The Texas mile record is in the ownership of a Supra and that's going up against monsters like Ford GT TT and all sorts of fire breathing machines

Not having a true 6 speed is what defines the GTR. But your not exactly one to talk because you have the option to get a real 6 speed for your supra but your too much of a poser fanboy.

15 years of engine and technology advance, stock 400+ HP, AWD and MODS and it cant beat a car thats 15 years old even with super short gearing, super advance transmission and insane amounts of HP

Texas mile record is held by a TT Gallardo Superleggera at 250.1 mph. The Supra you speak of went 246 mph. Those TT Ford GT's are hitting speed over 265 mph, those Supra's aren't even in the same league.

Believe me the Supra is one of my favorite cars of all time, but with that being said people started TT'ing GTs and Gallardos relatively recently. The newest TT Gallardos are almost at 1800 whp (http://i54.tinypic.com/2mw9ndi.jpg). The Texas Mile is on soon. Watch and see what the TT Gallardos, GTs, and Vipers do. 250.1 will be topped for sure.

well for one thing the Ring where the GTR "ruled" for awhile, the lap time that Nissan posted could not be reproduced by a number of 3rd party test. All with skilled drivers and not one of them could even come close to the time that Nissan claimed. Also not the 1st time that has happened the R33 got a time not one else could reproduced as well.

Pretty much the hype of a stock GTR lapping the Ring is arguable false and that "fact" was used to hype this thing like crazy.
