Great dismantling by Dan Savage. Amazing ignorance by the letter writer but being a "follower" that doesn't surprise me.

Religion = hypocritical bullshit orchestrated to keep people from empowering THEMSELVES. Religion isn't just a main thing we've screwed up, it is the single greatest mistake the human race has ever made. In the modern era it serves no purpose other than being a boatanchor on our progress as a species.

Yeah, it's a fact that no other reason have ever surpassed the amount of blood spilled than religion. It single-handedly almost killed an entire race didn't it? ( This part i'm unsure of lol )
