This is probably my most anticipated game until it releases. I remember the days when pretty much everyone knew what DOTA was. You hit up Netaholics and the place would be packed with everyone playing DOTA. It was so full that you'd have to go to Rush and Rush would be full too. I remember those good ol' days where it was super competitive and fun.

I grew up through high school playing DOTA--it was my version of CS. I'm glad they're bringing it back and I hope it's still as good as I remember it was.

Just for people's info (correct me if I'm wrong) there were a couple of creators for DOTA. Icefrog being the main one. Some other developers went on to create LoL and HoN (which is why they are so similar to each other and DOTA). Icefrog teamed with Valve to bring DOTA2 which is why the heroes are really alike if not, identical to original DOTA.

guinsoo (original creator) left dota in 2003 to do other stuff, and ended up designing LoL. Sources also said that icefrog helped S2 make HON. that is however, completely false. just a rumor. imo, icefrog popularized dota to a new level afterwards. this is why we all have high hopes
