it's not that hard landing on the target especially if your experienced. You steer with the strings called toggles with each hand which really act as rutters and help you control your decent and angle coming in. Being in the US airborne division they have to be able to land in the correct spot or it could be life and death while on duty.
notice how the soldiers, at the end of the vid, catch the american flag that he's trailing lest it touch the ground as it's part of the flag etiquette.
