Did anyone else find it annoying he kept on referring to the car as "gal"?

He finished by saying that "he would be more worried about the possible damage done by the tow company pulling it up the embankment than the actual damage done by the accident"

ROFL!!!!

But to be honest I think I would've fell to my knees and started bawling my eyes out if that were my GT

No insurance?

I can see why. We pay about $18,000 per year ($1,500 per month) for insurance. So many shops do not have proper insurance. And with a $1,500 per month bill you can start to see why so many shops and garages don't bother. Or get basic insurance which doesn't protect the customer.

Coles notes? I don't quite have the time to read Bill's story!

basically
- some dude with a twin turbo ford gt sends the car to "shadowman" because he does good work and is reputable around the forums
- shadowman takes possession of the car, ask owner for proof of insurance because he doesnt take out any customer cars if it is not properly insured
- shadowman informs owner hes gonna take the car out one night to "tune" the car with a boost gauge hooked up on the passenger seat with the vacumme line running out the window into the engine bay
- shadowman "somehow" spins out catching air flying 60ft off the highway by driving "like an old lady" in the slow lane
- shadowman informs owner the car was in an accident and the damage is minimal
- owner is 2000 miles away but is worried, so he and friend goes to LA to check out the car at the tow yard
- owner and friend arrives at the tow yard expecting to see scratches and dings to the car
- tow truck driver sees owner and jokes wheres the pilot that flew the car?
- reality hits the owner
- tow trunk driver shows the owner the crash site and informs driver that part of the road is known as the local drag strip
- owner talks to shadowman about whos responsible
- shadowman declines hes responsible because he has not garage policy
- owners insurance takes care of everything
- shadowman makes an injury claim on the owners insurance

60-65 mph my ass. Making an injury claim to the owner's insurance really is rubbing salt in the wound.

And no, I couldn't finish reading Shadowman's horribly written post, even if I disregarded him constantly referring to the car as "gal".
