: URGENT: advice on interview... mrs. or ms. ?

I have a job interview in the morning with a woman.
I can't just address them as Mr._______
as I have always been doing with previous interviews.

What's the best way to find this out whether she goes by Ms or Mrs. professionally??

I thought of just asking the person at the front desk when I get to the
office, but that might be a bad idea.

I even thought of just taking a 50/50 chance, saying it hesitantly, hoping
she would understand and correct me if I'm wrong.

But I dunno... It could make me fail my interview right on the spot...
or make it seem I didn't do enough prior research or something =/

Help please.

TIA.

I thought if you don't know, you automatically address them as "Ms."?

I thought most interviews, most ppl introduce themselves right off the bat and you just call them by their first name?

No not necessarily, but the thing is..........its sorta irrelevant of OP is asking because, you'll what, say the interviewer's name twice, 3 times at most? Maybe even not at all if you straight up suck.

Ms.

Seriously though, if you didn't get the job because of this, you simply weren't good enough.

lol, I tried. But I was wondering if there was also a professional way to
find out instead of just playing it safe.

But anyway, I'll just say "Ms." to play it safe since I can't really find out.

Thanks for the help, everyone (RS never fails in emergencies :D:thumbsup:!!)

Well, I already know the name of my interviewer... but it's always best to address them as Mr., Ms., Mrs., Dr., etc.
Unless they specifically say, "call me _____"

Ask the receptionist. It will show them you care enough to find out.

Good luck!

Call her miss, it will flatter her that you think she looks young enough to be one. On the flip side, I hate being called ma'am. I'm 26 not 62 jeez.
