i have a friend doing an exchange program in vancouver and would like to go clubbing. does the clubs in vancouver accept foreign id?

Depends on the club. The commodore didn't, too easy to fake them if no one on the door knows what its supposed to look like. Best idea is to call ahead and ask, that way you don't waste your time.
