I left a set of mirrors with a reputable body shop guy (the owner) He did some work for me before on my car which was well done.

Anyway, his phone is disconnected for the past month and he stopped contacting me through email. He has had my mirrors for 2 months now and i went and drove to his shop and found nobody there.

When he did answer his phone a couple months ago when i asked about the status of my mirrors he replied saying he did touch them yet and he was helping a "buddy" at another shop. Since then no contact.

At this point what do i do? Better Business Bureau?

What shop? If you cant reach him then just keep paying random visits until someone is actually there..

-Doesn't seem very reputable....

also I don't think he would shut down business and run just to steal your mirrors....

Random visits would be nice if i had the luxury of time to drive to the shop and check. I'm going to give him a few days to reply back to my email about contacting the Better Business Bureau. If he doesn't i will reveal the name of the shop and see if anyone on RS knows the guy or people that work there to help me out.

He's probably just busy. From my experiences with him he's a stand up guy and there's many on here and other forums who can vouch for him

If hes a standup guy then why doesnt he bother writing one sentance to me letting me pick my stuff up?

If you can get a hold of him i would appreciate it.

another shit back garage shop.. my advice to all is to save your trouble, spen extra 100$ and get quality work!!!
dont support new businesses, back door garages and unreliable "friends advice"

my choices for body shops

1. richmond Bshop
2. Craftsman collision
3. Automind col.

stick to quality and professionalism; speaking from my past experience dealing with backdoor mechanics, bodymen and vinyl wannabe guys.

Dont support new businesses? how do you think craftsman collison or automind col started? customers supported them and now their big. Just because a business is new doesnt mean they do shit jobs.

prove it.... which shop is new or new-er and on top of that is reliable, ontime and 5star quality?
give RS members some confidence.

im sorry i can not think of one...
im big on supporting LOCAL business.. however NOT new business. From my experience I would wait 1-2 years before I'd go and use someones services.

Got my mirrors back, mods can close this thread.

For those wondering, to get my mirrors back i had to write an email with my intentions to get the BBB involved. He then responded back within 6hrs of that email.
