isnt norway the place where homeless people commited crimes to be put in jail so that they have food/shelter and all the amenities? and now their rethinking the idea of the prisons to make it so that people would stop commiting crimes? I know if i was a hobo id try to rob a bank, its a WIN/WIN situation, if i got away with it then id be rich and if i got caught then id get sent to IKEA-PRISON and chill for the rest of my life, what would i have to lose? my cardboard bed? or my shopping cart?

I don't know if it's still there but they had a prison on Vancouver Island that had townhouses as the living units shared by 4 inmates, there own kitchen cook their own food ect. It had tennis courts and a few holes of golf. The idea behind it was mix inmates with short sentences with lifers and get them ready for reintigration into society. There was deer and shit and walking around the grounds, totally weird and did not seem like a prison enviroment at all.

The time I was there (not as an inmate Dbags) was probably 15+ years ago or so I doubt it's still around.
