Yeah I'll post up my whole process shortly, apologies for being so brief, I don't have a lot of free time but wanted to let you know it's very doable.

ive found info on fixing it, just not sure how long it will last after the fix.

Ok cool, the most important thing is to use no-clean flux when you heatgun it, or it won't last. Use the flux, it'll last a longass time.
