BMW just started taking order for the new BMW X3, pretty sweet :thumbsup:

The 3-litre engine generates a maximum output of 225 kW/306 bhp at 5,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, which is available between 1,200 and 5,000 rpm. This engine enables the BMW X3 xDrive35i to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Top speed is 245 km/h. The BMW X3 xDrive35i offers not only the sportiest performance, but also the lowest fuel consumption and emission levels within the competitive environment. Average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle is 8.8 litres/100 km


The new BMW X3 xDrive35i is equipped as standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. As an option, the new BMW X3 xDrive35i comes with a sports automatic transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel. A sports suspension and 18-inch M light alloys as well as Performance Control for the four-wheel drive system xDrive increase the Sports Activity Vehicle’s dynamic handling potential. In the new BMW X3 xDrive35i these features are supplemented by an automatic sports transmission including shift paddles on the steering wheel and Variable Sports Steering.

hard to say that the q5>x3 the engineering of the x3 seems far superior from what I can see although I've never driven the q5 I would not be surprised if the x3 was much more of a driver's car. And that engine is efficient, powerful and smooth. With the Q5, at least in canada you can only pick 2.

Q5's styling is a little bland though but probably preferred by the masses.

GLK isn't even in the same league, but at least in Canada it's priced accordingly haha.

the main selling point will be the navi, current x3 dont have navi but rather a navi retro kit thing.

just went to bmw training, lots of technology going into the new x3. its kinda funny because id use to see this stuff in f1 racing which transfer over to aftermarket, but now is pretty much standard or optional on the car from factory.
