Do shops let you bring your own parts? I know if someone wanted us to do work but they wanted to supply the materials we wouldn't take the job or at the very least we'd gouge them severley on the labour, we make more then half our profit on them.

I don't know. It's physical work+skills+experience from these technicians. If u have all that knowledge & skills plus all the tools that's needed to do that particular job, then u don't have to pay for labor.....

They all gotta make a living and buy their tools to work u know? They don't get tools for free or for cheap right?

speaking from experience, it is more reasonable to order parts and have the job done @ the same shop...simply because if the parts do wear out prematurely, then u dont have to pay for the labour again to change this and that..
